Well the stock market took a bit of a plunge since Speaker Boehner and Majority Leader Cantor can’t even get his own caucus to vote for his own plan. Progressives and Liberals are scared to see what if any concessions President Obama will make Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid or any of the programs that Americans hold dear. The entire Republican Congress is nervous if they compromise they will be face primaries from the Teabritarians. And with all that going on the Speaker recessed the House for the Holiday break.

I don’t know if Speaker Boehner realizes but many American’s have to work on the holidays. I know I will be at work on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. And I’m sure even if you had off the boss would frown upon you absconding from town after you failed to do your job. Now I understand many of our elected officials would like to enjoy the holidays with their loved ones. Well I have an answer for them, use the millions you have made selling out for the special interests and fly your family into DC and do your job. We have many nice churches in the Nations Capitol, Northern Virginia and Southern Maryland for you to attend Christmas service or mass at. You know where you can celebrate the birth of our savior while figuring how many of the top 2% they can thread through the eye of a needle.

Now we all know the Speaker doesn’t have the nerve or apparently the Protestant Work Ethic to call his obstructionist back into session to do their job. So my answer, let the President of the United States use the his Executive Powers under Article 2: Section 3 to call the Congress back into Special Session and complete the job. I know the President will probably be crucified by Fox News and the entire Conservative Media Machine for being the Grinch that stole Christmas from the God Fearing Republican Party; they will also probably claim if it was Ramadan President Obama would let Keith Ellison go home and enjoy his holiday. However, I would say the hell with it. Let the 112th Congress, the most do nothing Congress in the History of the United States stay in DC for the holiday and do absolutely nothing.
