I mean Mitt Romney likes to mention his father was born in Mexico, likes to get extra tanned and put on a kind of Al Jolson Hispanic face for Univision, likes to consider Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, the author of the Arizona SB1070 (Paper Please Law) his Immigration Advisor. Mitt Romney would veto the Dream Act, a BiPartisan agreement developed by Senator Orinn Hatch (R-UT) and Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) which provides pathway for citizenship for children of undocumented immigrants, but would consider allowing these children to enlist of go fight a war for him as the primary path to citizenship. Of course this is after Mitt Romney sends the family of those kids back to the country they came from.
The Dream Act in the words of Senator Orin Hatch, who I rarely agree with on anything should be heeded by Mr. Romney
THANK YOU, Mr. President. I rise today to introduce legislation that will help make the American dream a reality for many young people. “The Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors Act,” or “The DREAM Act,” resolves immigration status problems that plague undocumented immigrants who came to our country as youths. It also removes barriers to education so that they are better equipped to succeed in our society (http://dreamact.info/forum/showthread.php?t=18641)
Bills like these are the kind of Bi-Partisanship that causes the Tea Party, which controls Mitt Romney, .and Kris Kobach is a darling of to primary Republicans like Mr. Hatch. But I guess this is the kind of Bi-Partisanship we can expect from Mitt Romney.
Immigration is just one of many issues that Mitt Romney just can’t stand on his own two feet. I really believe Mr.Romney believes something about immigration, but he can’t tell you. Why can’t he tell you? Because those he relies on are people like Kris Kobach. And these kids would mostly be in the 47% that just doesn’t peak Mr. Romney’s interest.
