The framing has begun….Here comes the Go Back Team

I am not going to lie, I was quite nervous that Mitt Romney would pick a VP that would cause the Democrats trouble. My greatest fear would have been a Condelezza Rice, or another more moderate type that would have made a play towards the middle more difficult. However, thanks to the hyper partisanship in both parties Mitt Romney decides his play to the middle should be all the way to the Right.

Paul Ryan is not the most difficult to campaign against, his budget plan is as popular as ObamaCares was for the Democrats in 2010. Especially with 17% of the voters in Florida being seniors, the part of the population that voucherizing Medicare and the dream of privatizing Social Security would affect the most. And if going further to right was an attempt to secure more of the middle aged white vote he has no problem there being at least 20 points above Obama in the polling in most of the swing states. If he wanted to lower the gender gap, garner more support from seniors, Hispanics, you know non-WASP’s he sure isn’t making the right moves.
