Could Senator Pat Toomey be slowly regaining a grasp on reality, or does the fact he won’t face reelection till 2016 creates a little wiggle room.
Maybe Mr. Toomey could back the Senate Democrats and President Obama’s extension of the tax cuts for all income under 250,000 (and while your at it stand with Senator Coburn against Grover Norquist and the God awful pledge you signed)
If it is inevitable, then let’s stop these ridiculous Debt Creating Defense budgets and focus on putting our investments where they belong. The American people are waiting for some Pro-Middle Class solutions. We rise and fall together and nothing trickles down but the pain.
Sen. Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) signaled this week that Republican lawmakers may be left with no choice but to accept a deficit reduction deal that includes new revenues as the country approaches the “fiscal cliff.”
“It’s not clear to me that there may be another way to do it in the future,” Toomey said at a Brookings Institution discussion when asked about his party’s openness to raising taxes to avoid another fiscal crisis.
